Have you ever wondered what makes extra fine merino wool so special? Let's delve into the technical aspects of this high-performance fabric.

What sets extra fine Merino Wool apart?

Extra fine merino wool is made from superfine yarn, providing exceptional softness and comfort. The yarn is twisted to create a melange effect with two colours, adding a unique colour-tone to the fabric.

How is Extra fine Merino Wool produced?

The fabric is developed in Italy, known for its expertise in textile manufacturing, and the final product is made in Canada. The yarn used in the production meets the highest international standards, including Oeko Tex, Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), and Sustainable Fiber Alliance certifications.

How is sustainability integrated into the production process?

When it comes to sustainability, extra fine merino wool leads the way. The yarn is made using certified raw materials, and the production processes have a low environmental impact. Additionally, circular economy strategies are employed to reduce waste and minimize environmental footprint.

Next time you choose a garment made from extra fine merino wool, you can rest assured that you are not only getting a high-quality product but also supporting sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the textile industry.

Why is it healthy next to the skin?

Our Merino wool comes from the finest mills in Italy. Our 15.75 micron wool is very fine creating a super-soft feel that is gentle on skin giving our knits a luxurious comfort. It regulates your body temperature year round keeping you warm and cosy in fall and winter and cool in spring and summer. Its very fine crimped fibres trap numerous air pockets that naturally insulate the body without the heaviness and bulk of thicker sweaters. Absorbs moisture yet feels dry while breathability taken in a higher moisture intake. It stretches while holding its shape and lasts longer than most other wools. Merino wool is the best choice for circular sustainability and is also flame resistant and odour resistant.

How to care for our Merino wool knits?

Our garments seldomly need to be washed as this wool has its own antibacterial abilities simply by hanging the garment in fresh air for a few hours after each wear. The garment can also be washed if heavily soiled by using a mild soap and dry flat on a towel. Typically washing would be done after the season is over, allowing the garment to fully dry and then storing it until the next season. It will look brand new for many years to come. Wear it forever, pass it down or pass it forward, up-cycle until its life's end. Then it will go back into the ground and decompose 100%. Now that is a garment, nature’s best!

Colours of the FW2025/26 Season?

The colours chosen for this years collection are natural melange beige, jean-blue melange, and a charcoal grey melange.
